[(2,4-Dinitrophenyl)thio]acetic acid
CAS:[(2,4-Dinitrophenyl)thio]acetic acid (DNTPA) is a thiourea derivative that is used as an analogue for the natural substrate of the enzyme benzoxazole synthase. DNTPA is a competitive inhibitor of benzoxazole synthase, which converts 2-aminobenzothiazole to benzoxazoles. This chemical reaction has been shown to be part of the pathway for the biosynthesis of fumonisins. DNTPA has also been shown to thermolyze when heated, releasing sulfur dioxide gas and dinitrophenol.Formula:C8H6N2O6SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:258.21 g/molRef: 3D-FD132552
