CAS:Butylphosphonic acid is a reactive and unstable chemical that can undergo hydrolysis to form decylphosphonic acid and inorganic acid. Butylphosphonic acid is used as an inhibitor for the synthesis of polyesters and polyurethanes, as well as a corrosion inhibitor for metals. It has been shown to have inhibitory properties in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. This compound also reacts with methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) to form a stable molecule, which is thermally and electrochemically stable. The reaction products are dibutyl phosphite (DBP) and 2-ethylhexyl phosphite (2EHP). DBP has been shown to be carcinogenic in animal studies.Formula:C4H11O3PPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:138.1 g/molButylphosphonic Acid
