2,2,5,5-Tetrakis(hydroxymethyl) cyclopentanone
CAS:Tetrakis(hydroxymethyl) cyclopentanone is a phosphorylated derivative of fatty acid that can be obtained by reacting phosphorus pentoxide with phosphatidic acid. This compound has been used as a catalyst for the synthesis of acetals and carbonyl compounds. Tetrakis(hydroxymethyl) cyclopentanone reacts with chlorides and acid chlorides to produce phosphoric esters. This reaction can also be catalyzed by sulfuric acid or pentoxide, which are both highly corrosive reagents. The tetraol is an important precursor in the production of polymers such as polyurethane and polyesters.Purity:Min. 95%Cyclopentanone,2,2,5,5-tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)-
