CAS:Isopropoxyacetic acid (IPAA) is an ester that can be found in various pharmaceuticals, including the dopamine D3 receptor antagonist cis-flupenthixol. IPAA may be used to measure uptake and elimination of drugs. In vitro assays have shown that IPAAs are potent antagonists of dopamine D3 receptors, which are involved in the regulation of many physiological processes, such as mood and motor control. IPAA has been studied for its potential to cause cancer. Chronic exposure to IPAA has been shown to increase the uptake and excretion of IPAAs in urine samples and cell cultures. The analytical methods for detecting IPAAs are well developed, with the most common being gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCMS).Formula:C5H10O3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:118.13 g/mol
