    CAS:
    4,5-Dichlorocatechol is used for the treatment of wastewater. It is a glucuronide conjugate that has been used as a sample preparation and analytical method for the determination of 4,5-dichlorocatechol in urine samples. The reaction mechanism of 4,5-dichlorocatechol with hydroxyl group is receptor binding. This compound binds to t47d cells and carcinoma cell lines. It also reacts with oxidative dna and bacterial strain. Cell culture studies have shown that 4,5-dichlorocatechol inhibits the growth of bacteria when it is present at low concentrations.
