E-Urocanic acid
CAS:Urocanic acid is a compound that is produced by the human body and has been found in many tissues, including the skin. It has been shown to have genotoxic effects in vitro and may be involved in the development of some types of skin cancer. Urocanic acid can be synthesized by bacteria such as Aerobacter aerogenes and can also be found in wild-type strains of Escherichia coli. Urocanic acid is metabolized through two pathways: one that produces urea, ammonia, and carbon dioxide; and another that produces picolinic acid, caproic acid, and carbon dioxide. The latter pathway is associated with metabolic disorders such as radiation sensitivity or diabetes mellitus.Formula:C6H6N2O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:138.12 g/molRef: 3D-FE29739
