    3,5-Dimethoxybenzylamine is a chemiluminescent compound that has been shown to have anti-cancer effects. The amide bond of 3,5-dimethoxybenzylamine can be used in biomolecular reactions. In addition, the chromatographic method and optical properties of 3,5-dimethoxybenzylamine are being studied in order to understand its role in supramolecular chemistry. Mineralocorticoid receptors are proteins that mediate the actions of mineralocorticoids. The viscosity of 3,5-dimethoxybenzylamine is higher than expected for a molecule of its size. This information can be useful for designing molecules with desired properties such as increased viscosity. The crystal x-ray diffraction pattern has been determined by XRD analysis and found to be consistent with an imine structure.
