5-Amino-1,3-dimethylpyrazole is a synthetic pyrazole compound that has been shown to inhibit cancer cells. It is an acceptor for the hydrogen bond and interacts with the proton of the cancer cell. 5-Amino-1,3-dimethylpyrazole inhibits the uptake of oxygen by cancer cells as well as their ability to produce ATP, which leads to cell death.
