2,4,6-Trichloroanisole-d5 is a stable isotope of trichloroanisole that can be used to determine the concentration of this compound in a sample. It can be prepared by acetylation and chromatographic purification. The method used for quantification is multidimensional gas chromatography with mass spectrometry detection (GC-MS). This method is more sensitive than other methods such as headspace analysis or solid phase microextraction (SPME). In order to optimize the analytical conditions for this method, regression was used to find the best fit between response and predictors. Constant and optimize were two commonly used optimization techniques in this study.
