CAS:Tetraethylammonium trifluoromethanesulfonate (TEATFS) is a strong base that can be used as an electrolyte for electrochemical measurements. It has been shown to be an effective proton donor in homogeneous catalytic reactions, such as the metathesis reactions of alkenes, alkynes, and allenes. TEATFS also has the ability to form a complex with magnesium that is soluble in anhydrous acetonitrile. This complex is able to take up hydroxyl groups from solvents such as ethanol or water. The uptake of the hydroxyl group by TEATFS leads to a proton release and increased acidity of the solvent.Formula:C9H20F3NO3SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:279.32 g/molRef: 3D-FT75567
