CAS:3,5-Difluoro-4-methoxyaniline (DFM) is a methyl ether that has oxidase and monoamine oxidase inhibiting properties. It also has the ability to form a stable tertiary carbon via condensation with boron, nitro, or nitro group. DFM is an effective inhibitor of monoamine oxidase A and B. This activity can be attributed to the electron-donating effect of the fluorine atom at position 4.
