6-Chloro-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran
CAS:6-Chloro-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran is a cytostatic agent that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by interfering with the synthesis of DNA and RNA. It has been shown to have an anticancer activity in glioblastoma cells and an analog of 6-chloro-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro. The mechanism of action involves inhibition of cholesterol biosynthesis which leads to decreased production of lipoproteins, which are needed for cell growth. This drug also inhibits the enzyme HMG CoA reductase, which is involved in the synthesis of cholesterol. In addition, 6CHMBP has been found to have growth inhibitory effects on Sprague Dawley rats and cyclic AMP levels were increased in these animals.Formula:C9H9ClOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:168.62 g/mol6-Chloro-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran
