CAS:Heptafluoro-1-methoxypropane (HFC-227ea) is a fluorocarbon that has been used as an alternative to chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in refrigeration systems and as a blowing agent for polyurethane foam. It has a high boiling point, which allows it to be used in higher temperature applications than other fluorocarbons. HFC-227ea can also be used as an oxidant for the production of methacrylates, styrene and acrylonitrile. Heptafluoro-1-methoxypropane is colorless and odorless at room temperature, but has a strong smell when heated. The gas is soluble in oils, fats, waxes and some hydrocarbons. Heptafluoro-1-methoxypropane is thermally stable up to 230 °C; it decomposes when heated to 300 °C or above.Formula:C4H3F7OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:200.05 g/mol1,1,1,2,2,3,3-Heptafluoro-3-methoxypropane
