CAS:Furaltadone hydrochloride is a drug that belongs to the class of quinolones. It is used as an antibiotic for the treatment of microbial infections and may be used in combination with other antibiotics. Furaltadone hydrochloride binds to bacterial DNA, inhibiting protein synthesis, leading to cell death. The mechanism of action has not been fully elucidated, but it is thought that furaltadone hydrochloride binds to the sodium ion in the hydroxyl group of DNA. This binding prevents the formation of an antibiotic-inhibitor complex with the enzyme cell wall synthesis that is required for cell wall biosynthesis, inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division. Furaltadone hydrochloride has been shown to have a low systemic effect and high adsorption rate in animals; therefore it may be used as an oral antibiotic or as an injectable drug.Formula:C13H17ClN4O6Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Yellow SolidMolecular weight:360.75 g/mol2-Oxazolidinone,5-(4-morpholinylmethyl)-3-[[(5-nitro-2-furanyl)methylene]amino]-,monohydrochloride
