CAS:2-Nitrophenyl octyl ether is a polyvinyl extractant that is used as an optical sensor. It has been shown to exhibit a reaction mechanism with acidic compounds. 2-Nitrophenyl octyl ether is synthesized by reacting phenol with octanol in the presence of hydrochloric acid and an oxidizing agent. This extractant is used for extracting organic compounds from water and other polar solvents, as well as for the determination of their acidity by measuring the fluorescence intensity at 520 nm. It can also be used to measure the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.Formula:C14H21NO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:251.32 g/molRef: 3D-FN57706
