It is an organic tin compound that is soluble in benzene, but insoluble in water. Dibutyltin Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonate) can be used as a surfactant and stabilizer for polymeric silicone materials. This product can also be used as an acid catalyst for the polymerization of monomers such as aldehydes and styrene.
