  • 3,4-Diethoxyphenylacetic acid

    CAS:
    3,4-Diethoxyphenylacetic acid is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be an inhibitor of multidrug resistance (MDR) efflux pumps. It is also a substrate for membrane sulfotransferases, which are enzymes that catalyze the transfer of sulfate from 3,4-diethoxyphenylacetic acid to other compounds. The addition of 3,4-diethoxyphenylacetic acid to cultured human cells has been shown to inhibit the activity of p-glycoprotein and therefore increase the uptake of drugs such as acetonitrile and aluminium.
