1,5-BIS-(3,4-DIMETHOXYPHENYL)-3-PENTADIENONE
CAS:Formula:C21H22O5Color and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:354.39641,5-Bis-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-pentadienone
CAS:1,5-Bis-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-pentadienone is a naturally occurring molecule found in plants. It has been shown to have medicinal properties. The compound is synthesized from the tribromide of 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 1,2-dibromoethane. A Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of the resulting bromide gives the corresponding aldehyde. Demethylation with oxone followed by an acid hydrolysis yields the desired product. Synlett (2002), 2002(7), 869-870.Formula:C21H22O5Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:354.4 g/molRef: 3D-FB18684
