  • 2-(bromomethyl)-1-methoxy-4-nitrobenzene

    CAS:
2-(bromomethyl)-1-methoxy-4-nitrobenzene is a halogenated aromatic compound that binds to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in the central nervous system. It has been shown to be a potent and selective antagonist of the neurokinin-1 receptor. 2-(bromomethyl)-1-methoxy-4-nitrobenzene also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. The drug has been used in vivo for the treatment of inflammation associated with intraocular pressure elevation, as well as for other conditions such as glaucoma and prostate cancer.
