CAS:2,4-Dibromopyrimidine (2,4-DBP) is a tribromide that has been detected in the environment as a byproduct of the production of other halogenated aromatic compounds. It may be synthesized from 2,4-dichloropyrimidine and bromine. 2,4-Dibromopyrimidine is soluble in water and has a high solubility in organic solvents such as benzene and chloroform. This compound has been used to study reactions with tribromide and hydrolysis products. The chemical shift data for this compound was determined using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy with constant enhancement for liquid chromatography. A magnetic field was applied to enhance the signal intensity during the measurement. 2,4-Dibromopyrimidine was found to have a high affinity for the surface of magnetic particles because it is lipophilic. Transfer experiments were used to determine its adsorption behavior onFormula:C4H2Br2N2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:237.88 g/molRef: 3D-FD09689
