NITRENDIPINE CRS

Nitrendipine modulates NMDA receptor channel function in mammalian neurons. Nitrendipine has been shown to inhibit neutrophil adhesion to vascular endothelium. It is used in the treatment of primary hypertension to decrease blood pressure. Nitrendipine is used alone or with an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, to treat hypertension, chronic stable angina pectoris, and Prinzmetal's variant angina. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. Methyl ethyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)pyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate is a propranolol hydrochloride derivative that has vasodilatory effects. It is used as a nitrovasodilator to treat angina pectoris and high blood pressure. Methyl ethyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)pyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate binds to the alpha1 adrenergic receptors in the heart and causes vasodilation by inhibiting the release of norepinephrine from sympathetic nerves. Propranolol hydrochloride is a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker that blocks the effects of epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine. Propranolol hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit the activity of proximal tubules in the kidney, which may be due to its inhibition of chemical ionization. This drug also has antihypertensive activity and can be used for the treatment of cardiac disorders such as hypertension. Propranolol hydrochloride is a monoclonal antibody that is activated by nitro groups and binds with high affinity to multiple-reaction monitoring (MRM) transitions for protonated molecular ions at m/z 289, 296, 305, 313, 320, 328, 336 and 344. Propranolol hydrochloride also has vasodilatory effects on the papillary muscle which aids in regulating blood pressure by maintaining vascular resistance.
