8-Nonenal
CAS:8-Nonenal is a reactive aldehyde that is formed by the nitroprusside reaction with proteins. 8-Nonenal has been shown to activate growth factors, such as transforming growth factor beta, which stimulates protein synthesis in pancreatic cells. This compound also inhibits collagen production and can lead to cell death when present at high concentrations. 8-Nonenal has been shown to induce an increase in fatty acid oxidation and this alteration in cellular function may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of aldehyde dehydrogenase.Formula:C9H16OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:140.22 g/molRef: 3D-PBA77004
