CAS:3-(4-Chlorobenzoyl)propionic acid is an antimicrobial agent that belongs to the class of crystalline structures. It inhibits bacterial growth by interfering with the transfer mechanism of pyridazine, which is a precursor in histamine synthesis. 3-(4-Chlorobenzoyl)propionic acid inhibits bacteria by binding to the heptane-2-carboxylic acid molecule and preventing histamine production. The average particle diameter is approximately 12 nanometers, which is small enough to be used as a microcapsule in electrophotography.
