  • Ethyl piperazin-1-ylacetate

    CAS:
Ethyl piperazin-1-ylacetate is a synthetic, anticancer compound that has significant cytotoxicity. It is an analogue of the immunosuppressant cyclosporine and inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species, leading to cell death by apoptosis. Ethyl piperazin-1-ylacetate has been shown to have a significant cytotoxic effect on human pancreatic cancer cells (PANC1) at low concentrations in vitro. This compound also showed antibacterial activity against Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes.
