CAS:3-Pyrrolidinol is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of organic compounds with the formula CHNO. It is a colorless liquid that can be prepared by oxidation of 3-hydroxypyridine with hydrogen sulfate. 3-Pyrrolidinol has been used as a cross-linker in biochemistry and as an experimental model protein in studies on enzymatic reactions. It has been shown to react with malic acid, which leads to the formation of 3-pyrrolidinol malonate, a model for the reaction between malonic acid and alcohols.
