Ethyl hydrazinecarboxylate
CAS:Ethyl hydrazinecarboxylate is a small molecule that has been shown to induce apoptosis in human leukemia cells. It inhibits the synthesis of proteins that are essential for cell survival, such as Bcl-2, and activates caspases, which are enzymes involved in the process of apoptosis. Ethyl hydrazinecarboxylate has also been shown to be effective against HIV infection and autoimmune diseases. The long-term efficacy and safety of this drug have been demonstrated in laboratory animals and humans. This drug has also shown antihypertensive activity as well as a group P2 profile. X-ray crystal structures of ethyl hydrazinecarboxylate show that it binds with nitrogen atoms on one side of the pyrimidine ring, which may contribute to its antihypertensive activity.Formula:C3H8N2O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:104.11 g/molEthyl hydrazinecarboxylate

CAS:Controlled ProductApplications Ethyl Carbazate is used in the synthesis of P1 aryl heterocycle-based thrombin inhibitors. It can be also used to prepare diazenedicarboxamides as inhibitors of alanylalanine ligase. References Young, M., et al.: J. Med. Chem., 47, 2995 (2004); Kovac, A., et al.: Bioorg. Med. Chem. CAS:Prepare 4-phenylurazole from ethyl carbazate and then oxidize the urazole with gaseous dinitrogen tetroxide to yield 4-phenyl-1,2,4-tri- azoline-3,5-dione la. Modification of the ethyl carbazate procedure in which analytically pure monoalkylhydrazine hydrochlorides were isolated in greater than 90% yield, starting from a ketone or aldehyde. Treatment of primary amines is with chloroamine or hydroxylamine-0-sulfonic acid and the condensation of a carbonyl compound with ethyl carbazate. The FeCl 3 -catalyzed reaction of ethyl carbazate (2 b) proceeded readily to give β-hydroxyester 3 b in better yield. A new one-pot neat synthesis of some 5-aryl-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-ones through cyclocondensation of ethyl carbazate with aryl nitriles catalyzed by DMAP as an efficient and basic nucleophilic catalyst is described. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio.
