CAS:4-Isopropylanisole is a reactive substance that belongs to the group of phenetole. It is an analog compound with four isopropyl groups and can be used as an antioxidant. 4-Isopropylanisole reacts with bactericidal substances such as halides, iron, or organic acids, which leads to the formation of hydroperoxides and other reactive oxygen species. The reaction rate depends on the concentration of 4-isopropylanisole. This substance has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth by reacting with cell membranes, thereby leading to leakage of cellular components. The bactericidal activity depends on the presence of iron ions in the cell membrane and the availability of other reactive substances, such as phenol or hydroxyl radicals. 4-Isopropylanisole also binds to oligosaccharides in bacteria cells and inhibits their biosynthesis by inhibiting enzymes involved in this process.Formula:C10H14OPurity:Min. 94.0%Color and Shape:Clear LiquidMolecular weight:150.22 g/molRef: 3D-FI137884
