Benzofuran-2-carbonitrile
CAS:Benzonitrile is an organic compound that belongs to the class of benzofuran derivatives. It is a colorless liquid with a strong odor. Benzofuran-2-carbonitrile has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines in mice with lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation. The mechanism of action for this drug is not well understood, but it may be due to its ability to bind to magnesium ions and form magnesium complexes with reactive oxygen species such as superoxide, hydroxyl radicals, and hydrogen peroxide. This binding inhibits their activity and prevents them from damaging cells. Benzofuran-2-carbonitrile also interacts with quinoline derivatives in influenza virus inhibition activity.Formula:C9H5NOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:143.14 g/molRef: 3D-FB139613
