CAS:5-Acetylindane is an organic compound that belongs to the group of vanillic acid. It has been used as a model compound for lignin and phenacyl. 5-Acetylindane has shown antituberculosis activity in mice, with the best results obtained using a spectroscopic technique on the calf thymus DNA. The elemental analysis showed that 5-acetylindane is composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. 5-Acetylindane has been recrystallized from butanol, which yielded crystals with a melting point of 122°C and an elemental composition of C 9 H 10 O 2 . The infrared spectrum showed bands at 3400 cm and 1750 cm, while the mass spectrum had peaks at m/z = 112 (M+), 114 (M+-H) and 116 (M+-CO).Formula:C11H12OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:160.21 g/molRef: 3D-FA179645
