CAS:3-(4-Nitrophenyl)isoxazole is an organic compound that is synthesized from benzonitrile and yields high yields of isoxazoles. Isoxazoles are a class of heterocycles which are structurally similar to the benzene ring with one nitrogen atom substituted for a carbon atom. Isoxazoles can be quantitatively synthesized by reacting acetaldehyde and cyclohexanone in the presence of hydrochloric acid and sodium nitrite. The reaction product is then reacted with phosphorous oxychloride to yield 3-(4-nitrophenyl)isoxazole. The oxides and enolate form of 3-(4-nitrophenyl)isoxazole can also be synthesized in a similar manner.Formula:C9H6N2O3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:190.16 g/mol3-(4-NITROPHENYL)ISOXAZOLE
