4-(4-Nitrophenyl)pyridine
CAS:4-(4-Nitrophenyl)pyridine is a diol epoxide that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer activities. It inhibits the formation of reactive oxygen species, which are responsible for the oxidative damage caused by free radicals. In addition, 4-(4-Nitrophenyl)pyridine has demonstrated a protective effect against 3-methylcholanthrene-induced liver toxicity in rats. The compound is metabolized spontaneously and is excreted in the urine as metabolites of 2,6-, 2,7-, and 2,8-dihydroxypyridinium ions. There are no known indications for use of 4-(4-Nitrophenyl)pyridine in humans or animals. This compound can be found as a metabolite of mao-A (a type of monoamine oxidase).Formula:C11H8N2O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:200.2 g/mol4-(4-NITROPHENYL)PYRIDINE
