C188-9 is a molecule that is activated by radiation, which induces apoptosis in pediatric patients with hematopoietic cells. C188-9 has also been shown to inhibit the activity of the cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 (CDK4/6) and to induce cell death in breast cancer cells. C188-9 has been shown to be effective against cervical cancer xenograft tumors in mice, as well as other carcinoma cell lines.
