1-Decyl-3-methylimidazolium Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide is a nonionic surfactant that belongs to the class of ionic surfactants. It exists in two phases, one organic and one aqueous, which are separated by an interface. The transfer mechanism is based on the solubility of 1-decyl-3-methylimidazolium Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide in the organic phase and its partition coefficient.
