3,5-Dimethyl-4-hydroxybenzyl alcohol
CAS:3,5-Dimethyl-4-hydroxybenzyl alcohol is an oxidized form of 3,5-dimethylbenzaldehyde. It is a model compound for organic reactions and can be used in the production of oriented polymers. This compound has been shown to be bifunctional and can be used in the synthesis of copolymers. The mechanism of this reaction has been studied using HPLC analysis and kinetic studies show that this reaction is rapid with respect to both the concentration of reactants and time.
