CAS:Methyl 2-fluoropyridine-3-carboxylate is an integrase inhibitor that binds to the active site of HIV integrase and blocks the integration of viral DNA into host cells. Methyl 2-fluoropyridine-3-carboxylate has been shown to be a potent antiviral against HIV type 1 and HIV type 2. It has also been shown to inhibit the replication of other viruses, such as herpes simplex virus type 1 and influenza A virus.
