CAS:2-Butylfuran is a synthetic, furanic compound that is used as a stable complex for use in homogeneous catalysts. The reaction of 2-butylfuran with palladium chloride has been shown to generate the corresponding palladium complexes. These complexes have been found to be efficient in the cross-coupling of organic compounds. The chemical reactions are also efficient with respect to animals and fatty acids. FT-IR spectroscopy has been used for determining if the 2-butylfuran is present in animal fat or plant oil. This technique has also been used to identify the presence of fatty acid weevils in plants.Formula:C8H12OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:124.18 g/mol
