1,2-Benzenedisulfonic Imide
CAS:1,2-Benzenedisulfonic imide is a synthetic compound that can be prepared by the dehydration of an imine. This compound may also be obtained by the ring-opening reaction of a diazonium salt with an amine. The acidic nature of this compound makes it useful in acylation reactions. 1,2-Benzenedisulfonic imide can also be used to form an activated ester from an alcohol and acid chloride. It reacts with nucleophiles such as ammonia and hydrazine to form diazoimines. Anhydrous acetonitrile is often used as a solvent for reactions involving nitrogen nucleophiles because it does not react with them or hydrolyze to form water. Catalysis is required for this reaction to take place.Formula:C6H5NO4S2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:219.23 g/mol1,2-Benzenedisulfonic Imide
