1-Chloro-3-Fluoroisopropanol is a fluorinated alcohol that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It has been shown to be useful for the preparation of enantiopure compounds, such as specific antibodies and chemoenzymatic products. 1-Chloro-3-Fluoroisopropanol can also be used for the oxidation of secondary alcohols with molecular oxygen to produce ketones or carboxylic acids.
