CAS:3-Amino-phenazin-2-ol is a pesticide that has been shown to have genotoxic effects on human lymphocytes in vitro. 3-Amino-phenazin-2-ol inhibits the growth of triticum aestivum, a type of cereal plant, by binding to the aminoacids in the cell wall and disrupting its structure. This leads to cell death and inhibits the synthesis of proteins necessary for cellular growth. The herbicide has also been shown to inhibit the growth of typhimurium at high concentrations and may be used as an herbicide or pesticide.
