CAS:DL-Glyceric acid is a molecule that belongs to the group of monocarboxylic acids. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of polyglycerol, and can be used as a reagent for the synthesis of polyesters or polyurethanes. DL-Glyceric acid has been shown to inhibit the secretion of phospholipase A2 from Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains. It also inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the cell surface and inhibiting receptor activity. The reaction solution containing DL-Glyceric acid was found to have a higher affinity for cationic surfactants than for hydroxyl groups or fatty acids.Formula:C3H6O4Color and Shape:Colorless PowderMolecular weight:106.08 g/mol
