CAS:(+)-Dihydrocinchonine is a hydrogen bond acceptor that is used as a pharmaceutical preparation. It has been shown to be a multidrug transporter inhibitor, with an IC50 of 0.3 μM against P-glycoprotein (P-gp). (+)-Dihydrocinchonine also inhibits the synthesis of catecholamines by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosine hydroxylase, which converts tyrosine to l-dopa. The dihydro derivatives of (+)-Dihydrocinchonine are stable complexes with quinidine and cinchonidine, which are used in tropical medicine for their anti-malarial and anti-fever properties. These derivatives have been shown to cause apoptosis in cancer cells by binding to DNA and preventing transcription, leading to cell death. This drug has also been shown to inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells through apoptotic effect.Formula:C19H24N2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:296.41 g/mol(+)-dihydrocinchonine
