The crystal structure of 2-bromo-4,6-dimethylpyridine has been determined by X-ray crystallography and it was found that this compound has a pyridinium salt structure. This salt is formed from two molecules of 2-bromo-4,6-dimethylpyridine and one molecule of maleate (CHCOONa).
