CAS:4-Formylphenyl propionate is a reactive chemical that has been found to be noncancerous. It has been shown to produce significant effects against cancer cells in the lab, and it is believed that this effect may be due to the ability of 4-formylphenyl propionate to inhibit the synthesis of proteins required for cell division. The mechanism by which 4-formylphenyl propionate kills cancer cells is not well understood, but it has been proposed that the compound may react with thiol groups on proteins, producing reactive oxygen species (ROS) such as hydrogen peroxide and hydroxide ions. These ROS are known to cause DNA damage and cell death.Formula:C10H10O3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:178.18 g/molRef: 3D-FF113145
