2,5-Diethylthiophene
CAS:2,5-Diethylthiophene is a chemical compound that has antioxidant potential. It is reactive with hydrochloric acid and chloromethylation of the surface methodology to form 2,5-dichlorothiophene. The chloride ion has been shown to be the chemical nature of this compound. Mathematical modeling has shown that it can react with potassium phosphate in a flow system at a rate proportional to the number of molecules of 2,5-diethylthiophene present. This reaction produces n-hexane and 2,5-dichlorothiophene as reaction products. The depression activity of this chemical has been studied using an animal model system and found to be due to its ability to inhibit monoamine oxidase type A (MAO-A).Formula:C8H12SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:140.25 g/molRef: 3D-FD146972
