CAS:4,5-Diazafluoren-9-one is a diazo compound that can be prepared by the reaction of hydrochloric acid and copper(II) acetate. It has been shown to have antibacterial efficacy against group P2 bacteria such as Enterobacteriaceae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. 4,5-Diazafluoren-9-one binds to DNA with strong affinity and has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth in the presence of oxygen. The binding of this compound to DNA is thought to occur through its coordination geometry and dihedral angles. The hydrogen bonds are intermolecular, which means they are between two molecules instead of within one molecule. This bond is formed when a hydrogen atom from one water molecule interacts with an electronegative atom in another molecule.Formula:C11H6N2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:182.18 g/mol
