Hexaethylenglykol-monotetradecylether
CAS:Hexaethylenglykol-monotetradecylether is a cationic surfactant with a non-ionic hydrophilic head and a long hydrophobic tail. It is used as a surface active agent in detergents, fabric softeners, and other products. Hexaethylenglykol-monotetradecylether was found to be an efficient virus adsorbent and has been shown to inhibit the growth of influenza A virus in vitro. Hexaethylenglykol-monotetradecylether also binds to the adrenergic receptor agonist and prevents the binding of these agents to their receptors.
