4-Cyano-4'-nonylbiphenyl
CAS:4-Cyano-4'-nonylbiphenyl is a functional theory that postulates the existence of a homologous series of cyanobiphenyls. These compounds are synthesized from biphenyl by the substitution of one or two hydrogen atoms with a cyano group. The nmr spectra show that these molecules have vibrational frequencies and viscosities similar to those of biphenyl, but with decreased melting points. 4-Cyano-4'-nonylbiphenyl was first synthesized in 1871 and has been studied more extensively since the 1990s due to its use as a potential antiviral agent against Covid-19 pandemic. The compound is being investigated as an alternative to cidofovir, which has shown some resistance in vitro.Formula:C22H27NPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:305.47 g/molRef: 3D-CCA70985
