CAS:Platinum(IV) oxide hydrate is a compound that has been used as a test compound for the calibration of gas chromatographs. Platinum(IV) oxide hydrate is highly selective for fatty acids and can be used to determine the concentration of fatty acids in plasma samples. The calibration was done using diode laser spectroscopy and was successful in determining the concentration of isoprene at temperatures between 100-400 degrees Celsius. Platinum(IV) oxide hydrate is also stable to hydrolysis, oxidation, and reduction due to its platinum group metal content. This compound can be used as a calibration standard for gas chromatography because it has a constant functional group composition with low volatility.Formula:PtO2·xH2OColor and Shape:PowderRef: 3D-FP170382
