CAS:3-Isoquinolinecarboxaldehyde is a potent inhibitor of protein synthesis. It binds to the active site of the enzyme RNA polymerase, which is responsible for transcribing DNA into mRNA. 3-Isoquinolinecarboxaldehyde inhibits this process by binding to the quinoline derivatives on the enzyme, preventing it from binding with ATP and other cofactors needed for transcription. 3-Isoquinolinecarboxaldehyde has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of protein synthesis in both unsymmetrical and symmetrical triamines. This inhibition can be reversed by adding ancillary ligands that are competitive inhibitors of 3-isoquinolinecarboxaldehyde binding to RNA polymerase. The biological properties of 3-isoquinolinecarboxaldehyde have not been extensively studied as yet.Formula:C10H7NOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:157.17 g/molRef: 3D-FI42242
