1-Naphthylmalononitrile
CAS:1-Naphthylmalononitrile is a nonlinear optical material with a red shift in the visible region. It can be used as an optical material for infrared light, and has a strong absorption in the near-infrared region. 1-Naphthylmalononitrile has been shown to exhibit hydrolytic cleavage and oxidative coupling reactions with chloroform and carboxylic acids. The molecule also undergoes intramolecular oxidative coupling of two acetylamino groups as well as exocyclic oxidative coupling of two carboxylic acid groups.Formula:C13H8N2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:192.22 g/mol1-Naphthylmalononitrile
